For
years the Red and Blue teams have been at each others throats and
have somehow survived deadly bounty hunters, evil rouge A.I., aliens
and each other. Now, setting aside their differences, they have
somehow crash landed on another alien planet (again) name Chorus in
the middle of a civil war. In order to be rescued, the Red and Blue
must once again work together to stop the war, uncover an evil
military plot, stop space pirates and the Freelancers. Can the Red
and Blue teams live up to become the soldier/heroes they have been
training (or lack of) to be?
Review
of the seasons featured of Red Vs. Blue: The Chorus Trilogy:
Season
11 - After crash landing on a planet the Red and Blues try to
reorganize their supplies and ammo in order to be rescued. Little do
they know they are being watched and they soon discover they are in a
planet wide civil war. They are dragged into the war when the rebels
promise them if they help them win the war, they can have a ship to
return home. However, they were ambushed in a surprise attack and
their team separated.
Season
12 - With their team now scattered the remaining Red and Blue seek to
rescue their friends only to discover they were doing the same. They
uncover an evil plot that the civil war was being manipulated by
mercenary spaces pirates and controlled by the military to find alien
and Forerunner technology. However, what they didn't count for or
plan for was the Red and Blues somehow uncovering everything ...and
they aren't going down without a fight.
Season
13 - Out numbered and out gunned the Red and Blues seem hopeless to
stop the rogue mercenaries (but that never stopped them before).
They stopped the civil war but both sides are still tentative towards
working together. Now, they only hope is to find and activate the
Forerunner technology before their enemies can. They discover a
weapon that can wipe out the entire planet. However, they need a
'key' in which can only be wielded by a 'true warrior' (oh boy...)
Can the Red and Blue finally put a stop to Project Freelancer?
Based
on the famous Halo
games of futuristic high tech soldiers, Red
vs. Blue
continues to be an action filled comedy/drama between the characters.
A lot of the comedy and drama comes from the characters side
comments and often breaking the third wall of the entire series.
They make fun of the soldier/mercenary life styles as a group of
characters with caches of military ammo, weapons to 'play' with. The
whole Red
vs. Blue
series play like character moving around in a video game like a 3rd
person shooter with each season you can see improvement video quality
and effects.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image transfer on Blu-rays get
better with each season, with Season
11 a
little weaker and simpler than the previous seasons, but the
improvements following are nice. Still, we only get lossy Dolby
Digital 5.1 as sound throughout, so still
no lossless sound. Extras include a ton of stuff like Evolution of
an Episode, the Art of Chorus, Motion Capture Animation, Music of
RvB, Very Scary Mercenaries, Leaving Chorus, Outtakes, PSAs and
trailers.
