Chiyo
Sakura has a secret crush on Nozaki-kun, but when she finally works
up the courage to ask him out. Instead, she finds out he is secretly
a shojo manga artist and ends up being his assistant. Soon, she
meets the others who either knows of Nozaki-kun's secret or are his
other assistants. Together, her friends are the basis and character's
inspirations in Nozaki's manga. Could Nozaki-kun, the man's man turn
out to have the heart of girl? And will Sakura ever get her feelings
across to Nozaki-kun?
In
Monthly Girl's Nozaki-Kun: Complete Collection (2014), the
truth is often stranger than fiction as Sakura soon discovers, that
her ideal man Nozaki-kun is secretly a girl's manga artist (and he
maybe more feminine than her). Nozaki-kun misunderstands Chiyo and
Chiyo gets roped into helping him with his manga, but Chiyo doesn't
mind as long as it brings her closer to him. Chiyo helps him
research people and scenarios for his manga and discovers her friends
(who are all characters themselves) are the heroes, heroines and
protagonists in his manga (expect all their character's genders get
reversed in the manga). Will Chiyo be able to find her happy ending
with Nozaki-kun?
This was a comic romance, it is about boys
who can also be into shojo (girls) manga and the girl(s) who love
them. Girls are into romance and drama; how come reality is so
different?
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image may not be the most
complex Sentai or anime Blu-ray release we've seen, but this looks
really fine throughout for the style chosen, while the lossless
DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo is here in good English and
better Japanese language tracks equal the image in quality. Extras
include Nozaki-kun shorts, Japanese Promos/commercials, clean opening
and closing animations and trailers.
