Left on the train station in a box with a torn package label was where
Professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) found Hachi, a young dog. Upon finding Hachi the Professor takes him
home and into his heart, through the years a bond of friendship, loyalty forms
between them. As the years roll by the
townspeople watch the inseparable bond form between the two, touching their
lives, that no matter how many years go by Hachi's tale will never be
forgotten.
Lasse
Hallstrom has decided to make a family film in Hachi: A Dog’s Story (2009) and this is truly a heart warming tale
that will touch your heart. Based on a
true story of between a man and his dog and the relationship they shared. The story how a dog waited at the train
station everyday for his master, even after his master's death how the
townspeople watch on as Hachi continued to wait faithfully for the next 10
years for a master that will never return. A friendship about unwavering loyalty,
devotion, and a love that could not be forgotten.
The story of Hachiko originated from Japan is almost century years old, but it
is a tale that is still told today by both Japanese teachers and parents to
remind children the spirit of family loyalty that all should strive to achieve.
I don't get emotional over films, so I
want you to understand when I say this film touched me, this film left me in
tears when it ended. Not only good
because it's tale was based on a true story, but it had incredible actors,
beautiful music and amazing choreography. For anyone who loves animals this is a film
you don't want to miss, and for those don't have any after watching it, it will
make you want one afterwards. Extras
include the Making of Hachi: A Dog's Tale,
Bond of Loyalty and several movie
trailers.
