The Theory Of Everything (2006/Affirm Films/Sony DVD)

Doug runs an airfield, but business is looking grim with debt.  Suddenly he discovers his long lost but eccentric father, Gene.  He decides to let Gene enter his life and his family, all the meanwhile Gene is looking for the equation to everything, to prove and explain the existence of God.  As Doug gets to learn about his father and past, they help each other in achieving their dreams, that sometimes it takes a leap of faith when the things get tough.

This is a family drama of the prodigal father and son finding each other again.  Even though they were separated in life, they discover each other again.  Two stubborn men brought together, overcoming difficulties and finding what it means to be a family, all the while looking for the answer to the equation of everything.  But when finally things are about to about work out, tragedy happens and they lose it all, but only then they discover in the end losing everything isn't everything...

Another family drama that is good for all families, it's about reconciliation and helping those in need. All the mean while they searching for the mathematical/scientific equation to explain everything, it would of been interesting if they did, being educated I would argue is there any complex math in The Bible?  This a Christian film, but I still consider it a beautiful and touching film, a movie that reminds us everything we have in the world isn't always everything and there are sometime there things that are more important, like family.  It looks soft and sounds only so good, but is watchable.  There are no extras.
