Emmanuel Mouret also is the lead in his amusing-at-best comedy Shall We Kiss? (2007), is a meet-cute
tale about people talking often and not doing much else, but especially at its
center is Emilie (Julie Gayet) must refuse a simple kiss. It almost wears out its welcome at 96
minutes, but just about quits while it is ahead. Some will find this amusing and Woody Allen
comparisons are fair, but it is trying to be different. Virginie Ledoyen (8 Women), Michael Cohen and Frederique Bel (Russian Dolls) also star.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.85 X 1 image here not perfect, but not bad with some
good moments of detail and decent color throughout. This is nicely shot for a simple comedy, but
none of the shots stayed with me either.
The Dolby Digital French 2.0 Stereo mix is just fine, but has weak
surrounds is any were intended. Extras include
stills, teasers and a Theatrical Trailer.
