I have
not been happy with most current network TV, but what to you expect in a sea of
reality TV? However, the Kyra Sedgwick
hit The Closer and it is a show we
have paid more attention to than most as these links will bear out:
Season Two

Season Three

To my
surprise, the show has remained smart, taken its audience seriously, not sold
its cast or viewers down the river and remained fresh as we looked at this Complete Fourth Season. Sedgwick has found an unforgettable role to
be in and has grown very well in it. At
the same time, the show has not broken out into a major classic, but at the
same time, it is one of the best police dramas of its kind in a long time and
that is not easy when you have a glut similar to what TV Westerns were in the
1950s and 1960s. However, it is a show
with a potentially larger audience than it has and these DVDs cannot hurt the
cause.
The anamorphically
enhanced 1.78 X 1 image continues to impress as one of the best TV on DVD
series of transfers of a new show to date.
Warner has made sure these look good and they slowly look better in minute
ways as each season progresses. The Dolby
Digital 5.1 mix is also improved from previous seasons as the makers find
better uses for the surrounds and recording quality is some of the best on
TV. Extras this time include unaired
scenes, three making of featurettes and a gag reel.
