In one of
the few Ben Affleck films that will hold up in a few decades, Roger Mitchell’s Changing Lanes (2002) is a character
study of two different men in two different trajectories in their lives and
what happens when they clash in an unfortunate car debacle. You can read more about the film at this

Except
for the ending, I think this holds up well and Samuel L. Jackson gives one of
the better of the many solid performances of his career. So Blu-ray is a great chance for many who may
have missed this underrated work a chance.
The 1080p
2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image can look a bit pale and a bit soft on
detail often, but also has some fine shots and scenes that look more like the
35mm print I saw upon first release. The
Dolby TrueHD 5.1 mix is not bad for a soundtrack of a film this age that is
dialogue-based, though there is a little compression throughout holding it back
a bit. Extras are the same as the DVD,
but the trailer is here in HD.
