Shuttle
(MagNet/Magnolia DVD)

Two young
ladies return from a Mexican vacation and want to get home from the
airport. Unfortunately, they make the
mistake of going for the cheapest fare to get back home and along with two male
travelers, get the wrong Shuttle. Writer/Director Edward Anderson’s entry in
the torture porn arena is also part of the “dumb teenagers get killed” cycle
and both are very, very tired.
The
airport looks like a set and is so empty, you’ll wonder where the Homeland
Security budget went, but even pre-9/11 this would still be a turkey and a
bore. I was not surprised how bad it
was, but that it did not know how bad it was and just could not stop. Tired, tired.
The
anamorphically enhanced 2.35 X 1 image is on the weak side, especially for
color and Video Black, while the Dolby Digital 5.1 and slightly lesser 2.0
mixes just stretch out what is adequate low budget audio at best. Extras include casting sessions, deleted
scenes, behind the scenes featurette and trailer.
