Every time a new DVD of the work of the late, great Rory
Gallagher is issued, his heirs and Eagle have gone out of their way to make it
something special as these links to our coverage of previous releases will

It says something that there was more to see, learn, enjoy
and experience after the rich, previous presentations. The more you watch, the more you realize how
great this man was as an artist, performer and all around talent. The menus might be awkward at first (go to
the “Cork Opera House” arrow on the left to find the set up) but once you get
the hang of it, it is worth it.
The 1.33 X 1 videotaped image (PAL analog) is not bad for
its age, with some expected softness and decent color, ratio throughout, while
the Dolby Digital 5.1 and PCM 16/48 2.0 Stereo are about equivalent,
considering the recording is an old simple stereo taping. I favor the PCM slightly. The extras are interesting, including an
interactive look at Gallagher’s hometown which gives you all kinds of
information and even additional video clips.
You also get a fine illustrated booklet with more text and a fine essay
by his brother Donal Gallagher.
