Helen Mirren made one of her odder TV productions as a
former Rock singer (think Marianne Faithful meets Christine McVie) who is retired
and content, but finds herself scrambling to find a murderer in Julian
Jarrold’s Painted Lady (1997) a
two-part Mystery in which someone personally close to her is murdered during a
robbery of one of many expensive paintings.
They also live near each other and she rushes to help him when the alarm
goes off in his home.
This is a title we previously reviewed when issued by WGBH
(now out of print) and you can read about it at this link:

They are virtually the same disc, except the image quality
seems a bit weaker here.
