3-2-1 Penguins! – Save The Planets! (Big Idea DVD)

The makers of Veggie Tales have a new hit of sorts with the amusing, but only so memorable 3-2-1 Penguins!  It is child-friendly enough and harmless, but just not that impressive, but here it is on DVD and this volume is Save The Planets!

 

The characters are the kind with similar names, but not necessarily distinctive personalities.  You supposedly will know the difference if you really invest your time in it, but life is too short.  However, some will find this entertaining enough, so it may be good for them, but the rest of us can skip it.  The space angle is not as fun as Chicken Little, but we’ve seen worse.  You can do better, but it is tolerable if the young ones like it.

 

The 1.33 X 1 image has dated CG animation and is softer more often than it should be, even for the DVD format.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is better but nothing special.  Extras include DVD-ROM and snippet pieces for children to enjoy, but are slight at best.
