I have
been waiting to see if Writer/Director Cris Pablo’s work would get better or
worse, as he attempts to establish himself as a major voice in Gay Cinema and a
discourse of some kind and so far, his record has been uneven as these links of
his past work will show:

Now comes
Moreno (2007) about married men who
take on many lovers, including some males and promises to explore the issue of
why. Of course, there are endless jokes
you can immediately say about the situation, but his script goes for none of
them. Unfortunately, it does not offer
any answers either in what is his weakest work to date. He must be running out of things to say,
because this is very flat. Either he
need to pick up new ideas or forget it.
The
letterboxed 1.78 X 1 image is weak, shot on video and soft to a point of
distraction, while the location sound in Dolby Digital 2.0 is as weak sonically. There are no extras.
