Sleepwalking (Anchor Bay Blu-ray)

Having
already covered the standard definition DVD here at this link…
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/7262/Sleepwalking+(2007
…we
revisit the film again as its arrival to Blu-ray comes and to see if anything
has changed. Quite frankly, the film is
still relatively flat and even with better technical qualities on this Blu-ray
release, it doesn’t seem to help.
The film
is presented in a 1080p 1.78 X 1 High Definition transfer, which works with
more detail and depth than the DVD and offers a more color-rich palette. There are only minor moments where the
transfer seems a bit under par with slight softness and loss of detail, but
otherwise is quite strong. The
uncompressed PCM 5.1 mix offers a bit more richness as well to the sound mix
with more clarity, but still has its limitations with just the overall nature
of the film. There are very few moments
where the entire soundfield is explored or becomes sonically challenged. Extras are the same as the DVD.
