Here is
bad and their is just plain boring bad and the TV movie/mini-series Final Approach (2008) is such a
project, noisy without a point, plotted endlessly without substance and wasting
an interesting cast that includes Dean Cain, Anthony Michael Hall, William
Forsythe and Lea Thompson. This bad
airplane hijacking story is so flat that you know the money was spent on only
on the actors. The rest is wasted on
static.
RHI has
been starting to put some of their profits from usually poor product into their
next set of productions, but here, the extra expenditure makes no sense, much
like the show itself. That they managed
to stretch this thin thing to 168 minutes is a sad. It is totally pointless.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is soft for the money put in and the
Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo has little character or anything else going for
it. Interviews with the cast are the
only extra and go nowhere.
