Pat The Bunny – Playdates (Genius Entertainment)

I had not
heard of Pat The Bunny, but it is a
good, child-friendly production that does not have any fear about encouraging
its young audience to use their senses without fear and to explore the world in
legitimate ways. This is also called
living, but there are more than a few goofy parents who might object, including
some who would say encouraging the likes of sniffing would make their children
future drug users.
Fortunately,
the show is not as stuck up with such hang ups and is a quality show all
around. My only objection is that some
of the music is not memorable and the show can be gaudy in its approach at
times, but the pluses outweigh the negatives and is a show worth the time of
your children.
The 1.33
x 1 image is typically as good as a current NTSC analog production is going to
be with good colors and a good look, while the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is
clean and simple. Extras include games
and additional footage tied to the show, plus if you get the paperboard sleeve,
it encourages you to feel the bunny presented in simulated fur albeit flat.
