Dance For Camera 2 (First Run Features DVD)
Picture:
C Sound: C+ Extras: C- Shorts: C
When this
site began, one of the fun things we saw much of were shorts collections. One was of dancing, even if the clips were
abstract. Dance For Camera could have been a one-shot, but it did well enough
to spawn a sequel. First, a link to the
review of the first DVD:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/81/Dance+For+Camera
The new
shorts are:
Boy (letterboxed 1.78 X 1/U.K.)
Burst (anamorphic 1.78 X 1/Iceland)
Cargo (letterboxed 1.78 X 1/Canada)
Case Studies From The Groat Center
For Sleep Disorders
(1.33 X 1/U.S.)
Horses Never Die (1.33 X 1/Canada)
Motion Control (1.33 X 1/U.K.)
The Duchess (1.33 X 1/U.S.)
All are
so short that I am not even going to try and summarize them. Except for the final one being about 15
minutes, the rest are about 5 minutes average each. Still, dance fans will likely want to see it,
but should start with the first volume.
The
various aspect ratios as listed above are usually soft and Dolby Digital 2.0
sound barley stereo. I expected these to
look a bit better than the last set’s offerings, but it was not the case
sadly. The only extras are trailers to
dance-related First Run releases, including the predecessor DVD to this one.
