A Stranger’s Heart (Genius/RHI DVD)

RHI is
the most formulaic, inept production company around. Everything genre they tackle is a guide book
on how not to tell a story and A
Stranger’s Heart is the latest train wreck.
Samantha Mathis is a sick woman alone who might find some relief if she
can just find a good man and when Peter Dobson shows up, this is al the more
possible.
Unfortunately,
it is everything we have seen before and the somewhat likable leads are stuck
in this stillborn dud that you will never believe for a moment. At least it could replace some sleeping
medications.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 is shockingly soft throughout with all kinds
of motion blur. The Dolby Digital 2.0
Stereo is better, but not the greatest recording in the world and there are no
extras. Glad they stopped with the
ending as 85 minutes was far too long to begin with.
