A new
kind of special interest title we have recently received on DVD is on flowers,
but not on how to grow them to be an expert on them, but on how to arrange
them. Joanna Pyliotis is the host of the
interesting Joanna’s Flower Power (2006)
offering ways to make exceptional, fancy arrangements at home of the fresh cut
kind that some may find useful if they like flowers.
I liked
how quiet the show was and how detailed and thoughtful she was as host, so if
you want a look into this little-discussed luxury, this DVD is right for you.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is a little softer than a new HD shoot
should be, but color is consistent, which is key to the presentation. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is simple and
despite the repetitious music, sounds good for the most part. There are no extras.
