Braveheart – Special Collector’s Edition (DVD-Video)

In what
we hope will be the last DVD of the film ever, while wondering where the HD-DVD
is, Mel Gibson’s Braveheart is back as a Special
Collector’s Edition. However, not a
fan of the film, I said all I had to say in this review of a box of several
Paramount/DreamWorks Best Picture Oscar winners as follows:

This new
set even uses the same old picture and sound masters that have been kicking
around on this film for years. That
leaves the extras, which include Gibson commentary track, archival interviews
with the cast, stills, two original theatrical trailers and three featurettes,
including a making of piece. See it if
you wish, but fans of the film who prefer High Definition might want to wait
for that version.
Otherwise,
this is the version to get.
