Pacific Invasion Pack (WWII Compilation/MVD/IMDFilms)

Picture: C     Sound: C     Extras: D     Compilation: B-

Not as extensive or impressive as it sounds, the new Pacific Invasion Pack is a simple single-DVD compilation of various short films about World War II and nothing new has been added to them.  It is like watching a compilation of old TV commercials, running about 90 minutes at best.  It is good reference material in the least, but nothing that even begins to define the word extensive.

All footage is 1.33 X 1 black and white and varies in quality, including some that looks like it is off of an old VHS tape.  The PCM 16/48 2.0 Mono is as mixed, sometimes a bit harsh and with background noise, tape hiss and optical sound left as is without being cleaned up at all.  There are no extras.

It is however, like hardly any other WWII DVD we have seen, so it might be worth a look if you are interested.
