Tales From The Crypt – The Complete Seventh Season (DVD-Video)

Continuing
are look at latter seasons of Tales From
The Crypt, the show was so bad by its 6th season that the
producers pulled an interesting stunt by making all the shows from the next
season in England. The previous seasons
had never been good to begin with, as this review will attest to:

Doing
this still did not make it Hammer House
Of Horror or Roald Dahl’s Tales Of
The Unexpected, but produced its best season by default, including work by
Bob Hoskins (who directed the segment he starred in), Natasha Richardson, the
great Freddie Francis, Francesca Annis, Christopher Cazenove, up and coming
director Brian Helgeland, Martin Kemp, Elizabeth McGovern, James Wilby, Russell
Mulcahy (who just directed the third Resident
Evil film), Eddie Izzard and mostly British talent. 12 half-hours are over three discs, so if you
must see the series at all, start with this set, which turned out to be the
final season (hurray!!!) of the series.
Picture
and sound are the same as the last set, while the only extra is an interactive Fatal Caper comic book feature. That is more than enough here, though more
about why they went to the U.K. would have been nice.
