One of
the biggest time slip messes I have seen lately is Jamin Winans’ silly thriller
11:59 (2005) with the wacky premise
of a video news cameraman who goes after a crime suspect, only to wake up and
not know what happened. Then he finds
himself in the middle of nowhere in what is supposed to be a conspiracy, but
the film goes off into so many goofy directions thanks to Winans’ pretentious
script that it implodes absolutely by the time you loose 104 minutes.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is weak and soft, with detail issues and
laughable digital effects. The DTS 5.1
and Dolby Digital 5.1 mix barely has any surrounds and shows how poor the
o0riginal sound source is. Extras
include a trailer, short film Spin
with optional audio commentary, lead actor/crew interviews and
director/cinematographer audio commentary.
