Okajima
Rokuro was an average business man until he met and joined Black Lagoon. Since then he
is gave up his past and is the pirate known as Rock. Doing whatever gets them paid, they do jobs
from average shipping to things that aren't so legal as well. Their usual customers are with other
mercenaries, mafia, and gun runners, life is dangerous, but then so are they. Ever in danger they rely on their wits, guns
and each other.
This is
an action packed Animé, filled with explosions and constant adventure. The main characters aren't really 'good' or
'bad'. As Rock learns the trade of being
a pirate, life isn't all as straight and narrow as it cuts to be. And there are far worst things than pirates,
them not getting paid!
This is a really great Animé, while the characters aren't necessary
always the 'good guys', you still want to root for them being the
underdog. Life isn't fair, so why should
they be? As Rock learns the ropes of being a pirate *and not to get shot*, he
learns the morality of a pirate. And if
the enemy doesn't kill him first, his shipmates will.
Episode
5: Eagle Hunting and the Hunting Eagle

is on when the Lagoon Company and a bunch of Neo Nazi is both after the
treasure in a sunken submarine. Rock and
Revy is left on their own when their ship is forced to run.
Episode
6: Moonlit Hunting Ground
The Neo
Nazi stolen the treasure from the Lagoon Company, but they aren't giving up
with out a fight. They'll take back the
treasure, over their dead bodies if necessary.... but will they find out who is
behind them?
Episode
7: Calm Down, Two Men
As the
team is in port getting new supplies, the relationship between Rock and Revy
gets tense. Will Rock kiss and make up
with Revy or will he just get a bullet in the head instead?
Episode
8: Rasta Blasta
The
Lagoon Company as a package to deliver, a young boy... only thing is there is a
catch, a pretty maid in lace chasing after them, caring a very big gun!
This
Animé once again has excellent DTS 5.1 sound and decent Dolby Digital 5.1 sound
quality mixes and sharp and well colored anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image
quality. Scenes are fairly well detail
and have good graphics. Extras include
only trailers for other Geneon product this time.
