Disgaea: The Netherworld War, Volume Three

After
being asleep for two years, Prince Laharl wakens to find his father died, and
the Netherworld is in chao... but woken accidentally by the wayward angel
Flonne, he is determined to take back his throne. But far from home and tormented by those who
want his crown for themselves they begin the journey together with the demon
lord Etna. But the craziness doesn't end
there, when even more humans and angels come crashing into the Netherworld it
becomes all out war, not only for the Netherworld, but the human world and
Celestia as well!
Based
with a video, comic, the series is filled with comedy on epic proportions as a
young and powerful demon struggles to regain his throne, along with an angel
trying to teach him love and peace *with no luck*. Filled with funny and heart warming
characters, the unlikely team of demons and angel learn not only about love,
but the friendship in their journey together.
I first expected this series to be pretty silly and off
the wall, but after watching it, even thought there are angels, demons, space
defenders and things blowing up constantly, they still have their moments. Even thought they may have started out as
enemies, you can't help but laugh and smile when they turn out to be fast
friends in the end. It was a very
amusing and has a heartfelt ending. If
you like any of the video games or books then pick up this DVD as well.

The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image looks good, with only it stylizing
holding it back, while the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is well-recorded with
healthy Pro Logic surrounds. Extras
include Rondo Robe Promo Video, trailers for other Geneon DVD releases and Special
Talk #3 & #4.
