Shiva Rea – Fluid Power: Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Acacia)
Picture: C+ Sound: C+ Extras: C+ Main Program: C+
Though we
still rarely look at exercise discs, we will at least give brief looks at ones
that seem sound and this is our third Shiva
Rea disc. Though much longer than
the previous releases, the results to us seem the same. You do it right, you get healthier. You don’t, forget it. Yoga has become increasingly popular despite
rejection at a recent Republican National Committee meeting. But anything that makes you independent,
healthy, happy and have piece of mind is dangerous to extreme interests, we
guess.
Instead
of becoming your own false god, Miss Rea is a Yoga expert who will help you
unlock certain bodily energies you might miss and her shows have been
consistent enough that you can understand their popularity. Though this is 243 minutes all the way
through, this is as much for beginners as the most advanced persons.
The anamorphically
enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is on par with the previous titles in this series: good
but nothing special. Same for the sound,
which is Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo with thin surrounds at best. This has a second DVD with 30 minutes of
extra footage, something the others did not, though alternate audio options for
the main exercise pieces are par for the course. The 26-page booklet is also a nice touch.
