We looked
at Matt Tauber’s The Architect
(2006) a while ago on DVD, as you can see about at this link:

Though it
was a good feature, it did not stick with me as much, though Viola Davis’
performance remains a standout. The
subplot I did not like still annoys me and I see a little more missed
opportunity than even last time, partly because of the improved fidelity here.
The 1.78
X 1 1080i digital High Definition image is an improvement, but also accentuates
the limits of the format regular DVD covered.
Some of this is veteran cinematographer John Bailey bringing some style
to the piece, but he can only push this so far.
The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is repeated, but a DTS HD 5.1 96/24 mix is
added and it is the preferred soundtrack, though the sound is only so lively to
take advantage, this DTS is smoother.
You get the same extras and this Blu-ray is the best way (even over
satellite and cable) to see this work.
