Here we
go again! Reba McEntire returns with Reba – The Complete Fourth Season with
more smiles, hugs, and laughs for all.
Where Reba is not the best
sitcom to ever grace television it does contain heart. The cast of Reba seems to enjoy each other’s company throughout every scene and
one liner, demonstrating a quality that many sitcoms these days lack. Other sitcoms like King of Queens focus less on a cohesive storyline of a family and
more on the individuals’ ability to be funny, Reba at least holds strong to fun
and family values.
Reba continues to go strong now on Season 6 to begin airing on November
19, 2006. With Reba McEntire’s ability
to bring family values and capture a room with her lovely personality the show
seems to entertain a wide audience. This
reviewer finds the series to be the same old pointless sitcom, with little in
depth character development and less than adequate, continuous storyline the
series can stand some improvement.
Though this is not the best show on television, it is far from the
worst. With a strong audience and
entertaining premise Reba – The Complete
Fourth Season is sure to bring smiles and laughter to many.
The
technical aspects of this DVD set are sufficient and the extras, which are MIA,
leaves a fan base disappointed. The
picture is once again presented in a 1.33:1 full frame format looking quite
well as taped most likely in High Definition, but much of that being lost in
the DVD transfer. Each of the three DVDs
are double sided, which may lend to why some of the picture quality is
lost. The sound quality is also adequate
with its Dolby Digital Stereo format, being quite clean. The extras on this set include nothing. It seems as though 20th Century
Fox pumped out this DVD set prematurely without any special features for a
loyal audience.
Reba will
not go down as the best television of all time, but it will lighten anyone’s
mood. If you enjoyed the previous
seasons of Reba, this set is for
you.
