Las Vegas: Uncut and Uncensored – Season 3

Picture: B-     Sound: B-     Extras: C-     Episodes: C

Las Vegas for what it lacks is an amusing show.  The show is filled with comedy, action, and a dramatic element.  Overall, the show is not as deep as it attempts to be, instead leaving viewers unconnected with the characters and just waiting for the next twist.  As has been said in the past, Las Vegas desperately tries to be an edge of your seat mafia drama, but always falls short.  With popular shows like the now in hiatus Sopranos and the twisting, turning CSI series, Las Vegas does not bring a deep enough storyline or enough action, mystery, or real nudity to keep viewers entertained.  The best thing NBC has going for the series is having James Caan on the roster.  Caan as always entertains and delivers, but the lack of solid story line does not do the brilliant actor credit.

If you are looking to see beautiful people and nothing else is on TV, Las Vegas will keep your interest at least for a few episodes.  If you wish to be entertained, wait for The Sopranos to come back on in January.  Here is a list of episodes contained on this 5 disc set are:

5) Big Ed De-Cline

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 Widescreen was pleasing to watch throughout with the glitz, glamour, and fast paced nature of the show presenting well though soft at times.  The sound quality was fine for the shows needs, being presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, but there was an occasional “poppy” quality to it that made the levels uneven.  The DVD’s extras were unimpressive, featuring a gag reel and segment on building of the new hotel for the season.  Cast interviews would have been more appropriate for this show.  As other reviewers have stated, if you like Season 1 you will most likely enjoy Season 3.  For a simple show it has its moments and you can read about the previous season at:
