Shiva Rea – Yoga –
Trance - Dance (Acacia/Acorn)

Our occasional look at exercise and self-help titles
continues with star Shiva Rea and her new title Yoga – Trance – Dance. She talks about how she has combined the
three for over a decade and what a success it is. I was not as impressed as I have been by other such programs, but
she is enthusiastic, competent, serious, positive and professional enough to
pull together a decent show here. It is
not shot with the best form for such a program, with the camera choosing some
odd angles, but it has its moments and is recommended if you are convinced it
sounds like the combination you really want.
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is not bad,
taped in HD and is nothing exceptional, but is sufficient for an exercise
program. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
has no real surrounds, but is here with and without instructions, as was the
case with previous Acacia DVDs. Extras
include a 12-page program guide inside the DVD case, mini-documentary on Rea, a
Yoga Matrix menu, video remix, expert comments and meditation section.
