Sean Turner – Lullabies For Children & Adults (CD)

Lullabies are an unexplored music form and concept that still stays with us all the time.  Sean Turner – Lullabies For Children & Adults is a 2003 collection of instrumental compositions meant to put you to sleep…  er, relax.  It is hard to tell, because again, the nature of such music remains unanalyzed and can be a double-edged sword depending on how you look at it.  The compositions heard here are:

2)     Precious Gift

3)     Lullaby For A Princess

4)     ‘Till Morning

5)     Little Hugs

6)     While You Dream

7)     Peaceful Piece

8)     An Angel’s Kiss

9)     Elise’s Home

10)  A Father’s Prayer

 

 

This is not a concept album, but definitely one with a theme.  It is at least a safe work and consistent enough not to be mere elevator music, so it is worth getting if this is what you are actually looking for.  The PCM 2.0 16Bit/44.1kHz Stereo sound is just fine for a new recording like this and playback is good.  It is a solid instrumental recording that works just fine.
