Though not an entire season, Inked – The Best Of Season
One has enough episodes for one to get the idea of how the show is. It is not bad, but in a rare moment in “reality
TV” history, the show cannot seem to show the interesting people to best
advantage because it does not understand the tattoo culture. The result is a flat show that has the
chance of actually being better. Of
course, tattooing can only be so interesting, unless you are a fan, but this
show still does not go far enough. At
least it does not sex up things like a Hollywood feature film would on the
subject.
The 1.33 X 1 image is a recent professional analog NTSC
taping and looks fine for it, but still has the limits of that format. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo has no surround
information, but is clear enough to hear.
Extras include a text glossary and text crew biographies.
