No doubt about it.
Denise Austin is one of the best exercise instructors in the business
and her series of exercise videos (all on or coming to DVD) are some of the
best product on the market. The
combination of her voice, enthusiasm, heart, soul, attitude and energy is great
and perfect for this type of special interest product. Lion’s Gate is the company lucky enough to
carry her line of releases and we are recommending three that have just come to
the market.
Hit The Spot Pilates is part of a new,
emerging interest in Pilates in the market in general, which we have covered
before and is a new, exacting way to add extra results to your exercise
program.
Burn Fat Fast is a favorite for those who
want to lose fat fast without experimenting with drugs or some dangerous
starvation routine. The surprise here
is that the exercise routines do not take forever, so this should go over well.
Blast Away The Pounds: Indoor Walk is the
most unusual of the titles, but part of an increasing number of titles that
suggest the home is not a trap or an excuse to stay heavy.
Each disc is in sections, offers options of seeing or not
seeing Miss Austin, as well as customizing options to play the exercises in a
certain way or order to fit your needs.
Of course, there are those who will be watching for reasons that have
nothing to do with exercise, which is fine.
That sells plenty of discs too, but Miss Austin and company deliver the
types of routines that are very effective and that is what makes her one of the
biggest names in the business. Be sure
to check out the whole series.
The 1.33 X 1 image is all shot on NTSC professional analog
videotape and is fine for the purpose, lit well and featuring Miss Austin and
any guests to best effect in full shots.
The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo on all three DVDs have surround
information, and though they are not major or very full, you can experiment and
play them in various surround modes to see if any work better for you when you
workout.
