The Pasadena Roof Orchestra – Dance The Night Away

Nothing like a revival band surviving for a few decades
because they have recaptured something vital from music’s past. The Pasadena Roof Orchestra – Dance The
Night Away is a 40 minutes long concert from back in 1982 that even
simulates the idea of a club atmosphere, as if the band was opening up an old
club in the 1920s. The PRO have the
energy, enthusiasm and talent, but best of all, they do not deviate from the
style like someone would today in a stretch of pseudo-artistic marking. The tracks here are:
1) Talking
Pictures
2) Little
Orphan Annie
3) I’ve
Found A New Baby
4) Singing
In The Rain
5) Me &
Jane In A Plane
6) Am
Sontage Will Mein Susser Mit Mir Segein Gehn
7) Charleston
8) Creole
Love Call
9) Running
Wild
10) Yes Sir, That’s My Baby
The 1.33 X 1 videotaped image looks like it was shot in
the analog PAL format, and though it is a bit soft; it is also stylized to be
so. It will remind some of old Music
Videos from England’s New Romantic movement.
The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo has no surrounds, but is fine for its
age. Extras include biography and
recent discography information about a band still alive and well. There is also a link to the Quantum Leap
Video (not to be confused with the TV series) website and four long promo
sections for their other DVD products.
