Eddie Arnold was one of the great showmen of Country Music
and his TV series Eddie Arnold Time was an early success as a program in
the genre. He sang and played guitar
well, but also had a sense of joy in his work that added dimension that makes
the shows hold up decades later. The
compilation offers the following songs:

This is for old-style Country & Western fans that like
the mid-20th Century era of the genre. The choices are interesting and this could make Arnold a few new
fans.
The 1.33 x 1 monochrome image shows its age with a lack of
detail and softness in other ways that show the age of the materials, on top of
how these copies are a few generations down.
The Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono is equally aged and flat, but is just clear
enough to hear the music. There is
actually an extra here in the form of an interview with Arnold that is recent
and runs over 40 minutes, including his thoughts on the industry, Elvis and
Colonel Tom Parker.
