For
those not up to speed on this new animated trilogy, we covered part
one of Justice League:
Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One

This
three part DC animated event is one of the last animated features for
DC / Warner Bros. before the James Gunn takeover. The series
features just about every DC character you can think of from the
library that spans the multi-verse with characters showing up from
different eras even. It is quite weird to see Batgirl fighting
alongside
Batman Beyond, but
here we are. This is pulled from the pages of the original 1985 -
1986 comic series and expanded upon and certainly would be an
insanely expensive film if made in live action by Hollywood.
Shadow
Demons pour in from all realities and attempt to rip apart the
infinite earths from the inside out. Possessing and twisting the
minds of their prey, the Shadow Demons prove to be a formidable match
for the teams of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and
other meta-humans. Supergirl and Monitor take center stage as the
war of all realities threatens to implode life as we know it in the
continuing saga.
Now
for playback performance. Justice
League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two 4K
is presented in 2160p on 4K UHD disc with HDR10, an HEVC / H.265
codec, a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and an audio track in
lossless, English DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit). The
animation is on par with previous DC animated shows and looks and
sounds fine on both formats here. The 4K UHD does look a bit more
sharp than the lower resolution 1080p Blu-ray version. The animation
much like the first entry in the series is passable, but not
necessarily mind blowing. The steel book packaging is very nice and
has some pretty impressive artwork.

Sneak Peek
Justice
League: Crisis on Infinite Earths
isn't the best DC animated film nor the worse. It is kind of
somewhere in-between. I feel like it has some cool moments, but is
quite long and the animation style could be a bit more intriguing.
