Protector (2016).
All
Wu-Lin's life, he has been training to become the ultimate bodyguard
...but unfortunately, he gets 'Princess' Fei-Fei, the beautiful but
totally spoiled rich girl who's goal seems to be making Wu-Lin's
life. a living hell. The threats are real and he will have to face
an army of mercenaries, but the stakes are raised when Wu-Lin
discovers his former brother-in-arms was behind the kidnapping, will
he have the heart to kill his own brother?
One
thing China has no shortage of is martial artists, like all martial
art films they try to imitate superstars like Bruce Li, Jackie Chan
and Jet Li. This movie is filled with non stop action and fight
scenes as well a bit of comic romance between the hero and the
heroine and works well. Time will tell if Yue becomes a breakout
star, but this release cannot hurt his cause.
The
1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image is a pretty stable
shoot, with no motion blur issues, no matter how fast and wild the
fighting gets, while the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 mix is
not the greatest ever (a world of 6.1, 7.1 and 11.1 soundtracks
notwithstanding), but it more than delivers what is needed for the
genre. Extras include behind the scenes - The Chase, The Final
Battle, Training, Stunts, Fighting Highlights and trailers.
