The
heart-stopping third season of Guillermo Del Toro's The Strain
explodes onto DVD in this new three-disc Season Three set from
Fox. Featuring more blood suckers than previous seasons and
featuring the stunning reveal of The Master during the season finale,
this season spans the ultimate battle for New York City against his
evil and unstoppable vampiric virus that has infected the population.
The
show stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown,
Jonathan Hyde, and Richard Sammel. The show is based on the book
series by Guillermo Del Toro and Paul Hogan.
Ten
episodes span this release, which include New York Strong, Bad
White, First Born, Gone But Not Forgotten, Madness, The Battle of
Central Park, Collaborators, White Light, Do or Die, and The
Fall.
Presented
in standard definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and a
lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the show looks and sounds pretty good
for DVD but could obviously be improved upon in an HD presentation.
