If
you're a fan of Charles Bronson films (and who isn't?), then you will
want to check out this new limited edition Blu-ray release of The
Stone Killer (1973) from Twilight Time, about the Sicilian
mafiosi. Bronson ends up in L.A., where he uncovers a vicious plot
to use damaged Vietnam Veterans to murder and effectively wipe out
enemies of the Mafia.
The
plot thickens when they want to take it a step further when they try
to recreate a tragic event known as the "Sicilian Vespers"
- which was a day where a previous generation of Sicilian mafiosi
were all slain in one day. The stakes get higher as Bronson
interferes and takes matters into his own hands!
The
film co-stars Martin Balsam, Jack Colvin, Paul Koslo, Norman Fell,
David Sheiner, and Stuart Margolin and is directed by Michael Winner
(Death Wish).
Presented
in 1080p high definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and
a DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Mono lossless track, the film looks
and sounds up to standards (a new HD master apparently) and looks far
better than previous releases. The score by Roy Budd is fantastic
and featured solely in its isolated score track, which is defiantly
an extra treat for fans of the film.
Special
Features include...

Music Track in lossless DTS-MA
