She's
not his stalker, she is his girlfriend. Yuki Kurihara has been
obsessed with Shinya Momotsuki (Momo for short) since she laid eyes
on him. So what if she is a year older, so what if before they met
she had she had been following and taking pictures of him, also
collecting everything he touches. Now, they are officially boyfriend
and girlfriend they have daily romances and revolutions. Each day as
they get closer, their friends watch over their romances, they make
fun of them as well as cheering them on, wondering how far Momo and
Kurihara will go in Momokuri: Complete Collection (2015 -
2016).
Kurihara
is totally obsessed with everything about Momo-kun, from his looks,
to how he talks, acts, to how he gets flustered when he gets
embarrassed. Even after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, she
continues her 'stalker-like' habits, taking secret pictures of him
and collecting everything related to Momo. Momo is small and cute
(for a boy), but he happy to have a cute girlfriend. He wants to be
considered more mature and dependable. He is a little naive with the
fact that he is unable to see Kurihara's weird behavior (but she's
cute and as long as it makes her happy he doesn't really
mind). Momo and Kurihara's relationship however never go beyond an
'elementary' level. Their friends act as a peanut gallery watching
over them, they have fun together and teasing them and wonder when it
will be their turn get a boyfriend or girlfriend.
This
was a light comedy romance, filled with blushing girls and boys on
their first dates and first times. The entire series is about high
school drama of a boyfriend/girlfriend soap opera. It proves once
more if you are a cute enough, you can get away with anything! But
one cannot help think if the character's roles were reversed, guys
would probably never
get away with the same things as girls would.
The
1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on each episode is good and
solid, but far from the best Sentai has out there, though part of it
is the style of the show's art. The lossless Japanese DTS-HD MA
(Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo is a little underwhelming, has no kind of
Pro Logic surrounds and makes one wish for a 5.1 mix. Extras include
clean opening and closing animations and trailers.
