John
and Laura (Morris Chestnut & Regina Bell) are a successful
professional working couple desperate to have a child, so they hire
Anna (Jaz Sinclair) to become a surrogate birth mother for them and
their last embryo. At first, she seemed shy, sweet and innocent, and
quickly works her way into their lives, heart and home, but Anna is
keeping secrets... and begins to have an affair with John! They
begin to realize they are caught up a dangerous psychotic game and
quickly realize she was not what she seemed ...but is still carrying
their child in Jon Cassar's When The Bough Breaks (2016).
At
first, Anna was running a scam with her Marine boyfriend Mike (Theo
Rossi), but then she (literally) backstabs him and begins to move in
on John, but when she realizes if she can't have John ...no one will.
Thus, an obsession begins on her end and Mike is not exactly going
away easy or will be the functional pride of any new family, but how
long can these birds of a feather last?
It's
always the quiet ones you have to watch out for. This was another
drama filled movie thriller about a young rich couple and bad people
who want what they have. The film plays off on how woman will do
anything to either seduce a man or to protect their unborn child,
even of they're too distracted by their own backstabbing agenda to
protect anyone else but them. Interesting.
The
1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image looks really good for an
HD shoot and offers some warmth to go with a better-than-expected HD
color range. The DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 lossless mix is not
always as impressive, but is well recorded with a consistent
soundfield. Extras include deleted and extended scenes, feature
length audio commentary, Have and Have Nots, and trailers.
