Based
on the true story of Brandon Burlsworth, played here by Christopher
Severio, David Hunt's Greater
(2016) is the story of a young man considered one of footballs
greatest walk-on college football player. Brandon was a young, fat
and overweight kid who dreamed of playing with the Arkansas
Razorbacks. Through hard work and determination he worked his way to
his and showed the 'Burls' way. When no one else would believe him,
he did the impossible.
Brandon
was never the popular kid nor a star athlete, literally larger than
life. He did whatever it took to become reach the NFL. Against all
odds he prove to his family and friends that if he wanted it badly
enough he could do anything, even when no one believed in him.
Through rain, shine or ridicule Brandon's strength of character and
work ethic impressed his coaches, teammates, family and friends.
Even when his team was on a losing streak, he helped pick up his
entire team and show them what it means to never give up and what it
means to be All American. And he became a legend in the football
community.
Every
year millions of American boys dream of one day playing for the NFL,
based on the true story of Brandon Burlsworth he showed that if he
could do it, anyone can. He lived and died with the spirit of a true
American. This film was your typical sports movie, the story of an
underdog who had the heart of a champion and rose to become a hero
that we've seen more than a few times before, but this variant works
very well and is worth your time. Neal McDonough, Leslie Easterbrook
and Michael Parks also star.
The
1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image is another reason this
is so watchable; a fine digital HD shoot that is very fine and
consistent throughout in the style chosen, while the DTS-HD MA
(Master Audio) 5.1 lossless mix is not up to the image, being a
dialogue-based work as expected. Extras include deleted scenes, a
feature-length audio commentary, bloopers and trailers.
