Billy
Garberina's Rotgut (2012) is a throwback to '80s movies that
weren't afraid to shy away from gore and exploitation, this
micro-budgeted film is made with a labour of love of suffers from
budgetary limitations more often than not. Still, some cool effects
and fun story doesn't hold back from it being a fun watch. The film
stars Jeremy Owen, Aaron Worley, Megan Pribyl, Paul Alsing, and
Whitney Moore to name a few.
A
local bar gets infested with a nasty worm that poisons all of the
patrons on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Once they start turning into
ravenous zombies out for blood, it's every man or woman for
themselves as they struggle for survival.
Presented
in standard definition with a 1.77:1 widescreen aspect ratio and a
lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track, the film looks and sounds as
good as it can on DVD. Many moments in the film have bad sound
recording and other moments, but it adds to the experience of
watching a no budget movie so its forgivable.
