Universal's
new comedy Laid
in America
stars YouTube superstar KT and Caspar Lee as two foreign exchange
students who are called out for being virgins and make it their
personal quest to get laid before they leave America. While one is
smitten with the girl of his dreams, the other just wants to mark sex
off his bucket list. Everything that can does go wrong during their
journey including getting drugged, kidnapped, and pranked every which
way you can imagine.
Full
of sophomoric humor, the film is aimed towards the American Pie
or Road Trip crowd with more jokes that miss that hit. The
film also stars Bobby Lee, Angela Trimbur, Madison Iseman, and Josh
Leyva to name a few.
Presented
in 1080p high definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 2.44:1
(yes, 2.44!) and a great sounding English DTS-HD MA (Master Audio)
5.1 lossless track, the film looks and sounds great on the Blu-ray
format with little to be desired in terms of presentation, but that
only helps this one so much.
The
only extra is The Making of Laid in America documentary.
If
you're a fan of College humor or sex jokes then you may find this
comedy endearing. I found it to be more of the same and wasn't too
terribly impressed.
