Get
the real story behind of NBA superstar Kevin Durant, behind every
great man there said there to be a great woman ...and in this case a
great mother. Wanda Durant was single mother who somehow raised two
sons to become the great men they are today, but all of it wouldn't
have been possible without their mother who first believed in them
and push them towards their dreams in Nelson George's The Real
MVP: The Wanda Durant Story (2016).
Wanda
Durant was abandoned by her husband early on raising her two boys.
She and the boys grew up in the worst parts of town, surrounded by
drugs, crime and dealers. Wanda worked tirelessly to raise her boys,
working two jobs, getting them to join school programs and after
school basketball. Through the years, financial troubles, early
mornings she made sure they got an education, put food on the table,
clothes on their back, she showed sometimes it is a mom who is a real
superstar.
This
was a heart warming film, based on a true story, it is a story of how
a mother's love for children can change the course of a child's life.
Real life isn't like the stories or fairy tales, but Wanda's story
is meant to inspire other single mothers that there is hope, hope to
raise their children to become productive and respectable adults.
But it first takes a parent who is willing to work and sacrifice for
it. Queen Latifah produces.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby Digital 5.1
mix are as good as they can be for this now-older format. There are
no extras.
