Viola
(Gabriella Wright( and her husband Nicola (Bret Roberts), when out to
his uncle's cabin for a romantic weekend get away as the sunset, see
Viola's condition become more depressed and paranoid while Nicola
becomes more suspicious and jealous of what his wife is doing. As
madness descends on them both what was husband and wife turns into
mad ax murderer and even madder woman in Lucas Pavetto's The
Perfect Husband (2014 aka What Lies Within).
Viola
and her husband Nicola seemed like the picture perfect husband and
wife on the outside ...but her husband planned this trip to help her
get over the loss of their child in an attempt to keep things at
least stable. Viola is depressed and secretly hooked on drugs and
hides it from Nicola, which causes him to become more suspicious and
'punish' his wife for 'cheating' on him.
This
was a slow paced horror film until the very end. Everything seems
like it was leading up to the horror, but then it takes a turn that
will not please everyone and we'll stop there. The results are nit
agreeable, but it worked for a while at least.
The
1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image has its Blair
Witch
formula approach backfiring yet again, while the lossy Dolby Digital
5.1 mix is poorly mixed (no wonder we get no lossless mix here) and
has some location audio issues, so this disappoints and the format
shows the flaws. Extras include short film, behind the scenes and
trailers.
