Synapse
brings us this incredibly well done documentary that takes you
through the history of one of George A. Romero's most classic films,
Creepshow,
which is his infamous anthology horror collaboration with author
Stephen King and Special Effects Master Tom Savini. For fans of this
film, this feature length documentary is a great addition to the
collection, it's almost a shame that the film itself wasn't paired
with this to create a two disc set. Available in the UK for quite
some time, Michael Felsher's Just
Desserts: The Making Of Creepshow
(2007) is just now finding its way to the United States.
Interviews
from Director George A. Romero, Tom Savini, Ed Harris, Bingo
O'Malley, Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins and many others that were both
behind and in front of the camera for the making of Creepshow.
Featuring never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage and great
behind the scenes tidbits, I would highly suggest this to fans of the
film. Also included is the rare Scream
Greats, Volume 1,
which was originally only available in limited run on VHS that is a
great look at the work of Tom Savini and his rich history in the
special effects industry in the '70s and '80s.
Presented
in 1080p high definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and
a great sounding DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) English lossless 2.0 Stereo
track, the film looks and sounds great on Blu-ray.
It
is also packed with Special Features including...

Master Bruce Alan Miller, and Make-Up Effects Assistant Darryl
Ferrucci
