Hello,
My Name Is Doris (2015/Sony Blu-ray)

After
the death of her mother, a lifetime of always being the girl that
nobody picked and with a little push from a self-help guru, Doris'
world is suddenly turned upside down with a hot new co-worker (who's
old enough to be her son). For once, Doris (Sally Field) is going to
take a chance on love and see how far she can go in Michael
Showalter's Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015).
Doris
has been a recluse from the modern world, a hoarder, and her brother
is trying to force her to move out and sell the house. She suddenly
finds herself having daytime fantasies about her new co-worker and
thinking about 'possibilities' between her and him (even stalking him
on facebook). She decides to suddenly to change and take risk that
she can finally experience/feel something in life. But how long this
dream last, can she really make it come true or will reality burst
her bubble?
Can
anyone say 'mid-life crisis'? This was an amusing coming of age
story (a very late one), it is funny how differently society labels
men and women for not acting their age, but the movie was all about
it's never too late to live your life. Sally Field plays a wonderful
funny crazy old cat lady who decides she old enough to not care about
the rules anymore in a performance that is truly convincing and
carries the film. Max Greenfield and Stephen Root also star.
The
1080p 1.85 X 1 digital High Definition image transfer is a digital HD
shoot that is nice, fine, consistent and pleasant throughout, while
the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1
lossless mix may be dialogue/joke-based, but is a fine recording that
is always warm and clear. Extras
include deleted scenes, alternate opening, filmmaker's commentary and
trailers.
