She Wolf of Stilberg
(1978) is about as exploitative (or Nazisploitation as its called in
this case) as a film can get. Graphic nudity, rape, murder, and
sadism all over the place. The story is paper thin, centering mainly
around Helga who is a cruel sadistic warden of a female prison camp,
who is also a dominant lesbian, she likes to rape and torture poor
girls behind bars. When they don't obey to her commands, she has
them raped her male guards and often watches and pleasures herself as
it happens. The film stars Malisa Longo, Patriza Gori, Richard
Allan, Dominique Aveline, and Jaques Marbeuf.
While
at times full of some humorous jokes and clever low budget production
and filmmaking, Helga isn't really a necessary fun movie to watch as
entertainment or as porn. I was hoping for more of a story or a
supernatural element as I thought the sub-title of ''she wolf'' was
maybe pertaining to a she-werewolf creature. Boy was I wrong.
The
film looks fine for standard edition DVD but could use at least a mew
2K High Definition transfer, instead of this standard 16 X 9
widescreen transfer with a 2.0 track that doesn't sound necessarily
great or awful.
No
extras. Just a menu screen and chapter selections. Nothing special
about this release... or the film for that matter.
