Celestial Method: Complete Collection (2014/Sentai Blu-ray Set)

Picture: B+ Sound: A- Extras: C Episodes: B+

After 7 years, Nonoka returns to Lake Kiriya City, where a giant glowing 'disk' of light has been there since she left. There, she meets Noel, a young girl whom nobody seems to remember. Running into her old childhood friends, she tries to remember the promises they made and what happened to their relationships in Celestial Method: Complete Collection (2014).

When Nonoka returns after those 7 years at first, she doesn't remember her friends or for some reason Noel (who hasn't aged) is living among them. Noel in fact is the physical embodiment of the giant 'disk' above their city and 7 seven years ago she was summoned by Nonoka and her friends. Since then, Noel has been waiting to Nonoka to return and to grant their wishes. While her friends are at first angry at Nonoka for moving away, they don't realize they have also forgotten their promises to Nonoka. Noel is so honest, earnest, and innocent that it hurts, and she reminds miracles happen because of good will and faith, without them there is no point behind the miracles.

This was a heart touching anime reminding the importance of friendship. That spirit of friendship is MORE about being there for your friends and NOT your friends being their for YOU. Through the years, regardless of distances, differences, broken promises or changes, true friends don't give up on each other.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image across the shows looks really good and edges up to demo quality in some shots, while the Japanese lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo with Pro-Logicish surrounds is just a bit better that makes one wonder if a 5.1 or 7.1 mix could have been made. Extras include clean opening and closing animation and trailers.
