Claude
"Sweet Tooth" Barbee and his gang of outlaws are after a
buried treasure. Only problem is, they aren't the only ones. As
they journey across the state towards their fortune circa 1900, they
are surrounded by other outlaws and hound by sheriff and his posse.
If the sheriffs don't kill them first they kill each other
afterwards, it will be a race to the finish and last man standing
wins in Duane Graves & Justin Meeks' Kill
Or Be Killed
(2015).
If
you are after buried treasure, it usually works best if others aren't
after it or people are chasing you. Claude and his gang of outlaws
leave a wide wake of destruction and murder as wide as the
Mississippi as they journey to their fortune (not the brightest of
bunch). It also doesn't really help if you have a crew who are a
bunch of child rapists and molesters. With each new incident they
add to their reputation (and to those chasing after them), but each
night a mysterious figure is also stalking/hunting Claude and his
crew one by one, making them paranoid of each other.
This
was your typical retro-spaghetti western, the film was less about
story and more about the blood, guts and who has the biggest grits.
The only amusement was one of the bandits after each incident kept
getting losing his limbs (and somehow survives). For fans only,
Justin Meeks, Paul McCarthy-Boyington, Arianne Margot, Luce Rains and
Michael Berryman star.
The
anamorphically enhanced 2.35 X 1 image is really good for a DVD, but
the lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is inconsistent and not as well
recorded (or at least soundung that way) as it ought to. Extras
include making of the film, deleted scenes, interviews and
commentary.
